The Master in Management programme is for managers who wish to pursue studies at a higher level by adding a specialisation. Students build on their knowledge from the work environment and previous learning, whilst developing a critical theoretical perspective which will inform their own developing Management practice. The programme aims to advance an individual’s knowledge of Management and Business Administration and develop strategic thinking. This master is an overall joined programme with the MBA.
Saxion University offers this MA programme in co-operation with the University of Greenwich: successful students obtain an internationally recognized British degree, Master of Arts. The course is practical in nature, being case-based and relying on students relating their own experience to the concepts, theory and models.
Upon completion of the programme you have acquired an understanding of the interrelationship of the functional areas of management, and you will look at business issues from a holistic corporate perspective. In addition you will understand the relationship between an organization and its environment and grasp the importance of this for the development of a successful strategy and operation of the organization.
Next to knowledge extension in the field of a.o. financial management, general management and human resource management, the programme enables you to improve your personal performance. For example the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, using a broad range of media. Curiosity and the need to acquire knowledge are basic conditions for successful participation.

Practical information
From mid September - May you will have 15-20 lessons per week. All lessons and coursework will be in English, in an international class with 15-20 different nationalities. From May - August, you will focus on your independent business project, resulting in a dissertation at the end of August. If you pass all modules and the dissertation, November, the Greenwich exam board will confirm graduation in November.

Experience
It was really amazing experiences during my study in Master in Management program in Saxion University of Applied Sciences in Deventer, Netherlands. Even though the schedule is very tight but the overall program really provide me a bunch of new skills and knowledge. Besides classroom, the program also included Business Conference where totally done by this program students included conference arrangement up to presentation. And also Consultancy Project which involves actual project and company that across the world. I could say these two projects as direct application of what we have learned with the reality of job life that needs personnel good in managing and excellent in soft skills. Undeniable dissertation report part also really challenges where needs me to combine all the skills and knowledge that I have in order to finish up the dissertation report writings. Furthermore needs me to work alone professionally and accordingly to the schedule where at the same time really built up on my self confidence, time management and critical thinking.
In other words, I may say that studying here really change me as a new person in terms of the way of thinking, doing things and making decision. This program also has been packaged together with dedicated and experiences senior lecturers and also students from all over the world with 21 nationalities during my time. These combinations have made the program more interesting and truly happening where the exchange of knowledge, skills and ideas from different perspectives of each other. Besides that, the school management team also is very helpful and makes my life easier and goes smoothly during my study in Saxion. The most unforgettable is the quality life living in Netherlands with beautiful four seasons and also cycling bicycle. I may say that those who are chosen to study here will bring back good brain, personality and emotion to their home country. I believe that you won’t feel neglect studying here.
