Structure Saxion Sustainability Day

On the 25 th of January 2010 Saxion will show students whichclick here to enlarge
sustainability activities exist within Saxion and which opportunities this brings for students (by choosing a minor, course or an internship) to make work of “sustainability”.

Students will present results of sustainability projects they have been working on last half year. At an information-market sustainability research (by the Saxion Research Centres and professors) and related courses and minors will be presentedbased on the following themes:SustainableInternational Business; Sustainable Energy; Sustainable Cities; Sustainable Development of Rural Areas; Sustainable Water Management; Sustainable Transport; Sustainable Tourism; Sustainable Materials; External Safety

Between the afternoon and evening programme an ecological meal will be offered and the films “The Age of Stupid” and “Earth” will be shown in two separate rooms.

In the evening programme the Dutch minister of Environment/Sustainability (mrs. Cramer) with her Greenovator tour will stimulate students to take up the challenge of sustainability. The programme contains interviews, film, debate and music

The day will be at Saxion in Deventer. Participation is free of charge. Registration is necessary and will be possible from the 6th of January 2010.  Two hunderd students can participate in the evening programme.

This day is organised by the “environmental-team” of the Academy of Spatial Planning and Building of Saxion in cooperation with the Saxion Research Chair in Sustainable Development.
