The research line strives to develop multi-disciplinary approaches to research and education on an international level. It is committed to forging multidisciplinary and multi-national networks to build capacity within the faculties of Health and Social Work of Saxion such that there are increasing opportunities for students to explore other cultures and systems, thereby enhancing their education and training. Inherent within this process is professional development. Opportunities for staff from within the two faculties to extend and enhance their professional and academic standing will be identified and actively pursued. The research line will also make every effort to develop applied research that reflects the way in which culture, policy and lifestyle in different countries impact on health and social care.
