Does signing a peace agreement mean peace in the country? No, it’s still a lot of hard work in progress. South Sudan is an independent country since 2011. It has fought for its independence and it keeps fighting to become a mature democracy. At this point in time it’s still in the surviving mode. Therefor the UN Article One ‘All human beings are born free & equal in dignity and rights’ is still a big challenge.
We invite you to learn more about South Sudan an it’s political, social and human rights challenges. We, Saxion students from all over the world want these to be a global-challenges. Take part in this transnational dialogue program together with human rights activists and from South Sudan and the Netherlands to inspire and to be inspired.
