General terms and conditions

Article 1. Definitions and terms

  1. Taalexpert (Language Expert):  a section of the Study Success Centre (SSC) at Saxion
  2. Courses:  schooling offered by Taalexpert, such as workshops and training.
  3. Client: a person who makes an agreement/ a contract  with Taalexpert for a Taalexpert course.
  4. Parties: client and Taalexpert.
  5. Contract:  the agreements of both parties with regard to the courses, as  laid down  between both parties in accordance with article 3 of these general terms and conditions.

Article 2. Scope
These conditions are applicable in its entirety to all signed, or to be signed agreements by the client and Taalexpert, unless otherwise specifically agreed upon in writing. 

Article 3. Realisation of contract
A completed and signed application form received by Taalexpert is a proposal.  After a written acceptance of the application from Taalexpect , the application form becomes a contract.Unless otherwise stated, the amount due for the course must be paid by the client no later than 1 day before that course starts. A course participant will be refused the right to attend the course if payment has not been made on time.

Article 4. Cancellation regulations
The client has the right to cancel the application before the course starts under the following conditions:

  • A cancellation of up to 10 days prior to the beginning of the course means there will be no course fees due.
  • The client must pay the course fee in full to Taalexpert Saxion when canceling within less than 10 days prior to the beginning of the course.
  • When canceling less than 10 days prior to the beginning of the course, the client may arrange to be replaced by another person after having consulted with Taalexpert.

No claim can be made should Taalexpert postpone or cancel a course at any given moment of time. Should Taalexpert come to the decision to cancel the course, the course fee will be paid back in full to the client within 6 weeks of this decision being made.
