Minor in the spotlights: Creative Design & Technology

Would you like to combine your creativity with the latest technology? Then the minor Creative Design & Technology might be something for you.

This minor can be an interesting option for students from non-technical studies who are keen to learn more about technology and how to apply it in a creative way. You don't need to have any pre-knowledge. However, you need to have a curious mind and it helps if you like to learn by doing.

You will learn to program with Processing, design and test prototypes for mobile apps and learn to work with sensors, Arduino, laser cutters and 3D printers. The final project called The Exhibition, gives you the opportunity to apply some of those skills in a personal project. For this you have numerous options: smart textiles, an interactive installation for children or a mobile application to work on your health and wellbeing. During this project you will also learn how to document this process with pictures, video and other online materials.
