Blockchain
Het lectoraat Blockchain doet interdisciplinair onderzoek voor welke vraagstukken Blockchain geschikt is, onder welke voorwaarden, voor welke organisaties Blockchain interessant is en wat de impact is op organisaties. Het lectoraat ontwikkelt methoden en tools voor Blockchain toepassingen en het implementeren ervan.
Het lectoraat is de initiator van het Saxion Blockchain Institute, een maatschappelijke samenwerking van en door kennispartners, het bedrijfsleven, onderwijs en belangstellenden. De focus ligt op Blockchaintoepassingen voor waardecreatie en disruptie in samenwerking met regionale, landelijke en internationale netwerken met het Saxion Blockchain Institute als innovatie accelerator.

Blockchain for Decentralized Finance
De onderzoekslijn Blockchain for Finance houdt zich bezig met de impact van Blockchain op de financiële bedrijfstak. Hierbij wordt met name gekeken naar de impact van Blockchain op de financiering van het (grotere) MKB. Binnen dit segment ligt de focus op (1) het ontwikkelen van business cases, (2) het beoordelen van business cases en (3) de waardebepaling van business cases.

BlockWASTE-project
Blockchain-technologie is gebaseerd op een gegevensstructuur waarvan de informatie is gegroepeerd in sets waaraan meta-informatie met betrekking tot een ander blok van de vorige keten in een tijdlijn wordt toegevoegd. Dit is iets nieuws dat nog niet op grote schaal in de curricula is toegepast. Om deze reden zal BlockWASTE dienen als basis voor het begin van de opleiding in Blockchain-technologie, waarbij door de toepassing ervan in het beheer van vast afval de toepasbaarheid ervan in de circulaire economie wordt aangetoond.
Conference on Blockchain and Financial Applications
Saxion University of Applied Science, the Netherlands & the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation and the Banking Academy of Vietnam organized the International Conference series on 'Blockchain and Financial Applications' with 43 paper presentations and about 200 participants. The conference series has taken place on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 and Thursday, May 13, 2021. The conference was divided into four sessions:

Master ‘International financial market: strategies and technologies’ 2021 and onwards
Master program 2021-2022 "International financial market: strategies and technologies" in the discipline "Modern technologies and models of risk management of the world financial market’ a cooperation between Department of World Finance, Faculty of International Economic Relations, Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation and Saxion University of Applied Sciences The Netherlands. In 2022 further joint development of the structural master with Blockchain for the 2022-2023 master program.
DUO ESBI-pilot RiVG, TNO, Idemia en DUO 2021-2022
Projectleiderschap Saxion lectoraat Blockchain. De verwachting is dat Saxion als Legal Entity onboard op EBSI en een Diploma als VC issued die in een wallet van een (Saxion)-student wordt geladen en de nodige onderwijs-expertise inbrengt in dit pilotproject met o.a. accreditatie, learning outcomes, credentials, SSI et cetera. Doel is eind 2021 – begin 2022 deze happy flow te kunnen demonstreren en eventueel als opmaat voor andere trajecten en sandboxes in 2022.

Dit is de eerste van een verwachte serie van vier MOOC's die zijn ontworpen om de immense kracht van Bitcoin's protocol te onderwijzen en hoe applicaties te bouwen op de Bitcoin SV Blockchain.
