Decision making on provisions

Exam access arrangements 

The Examination board of the course programme decides on the request for exam access arrangements. This is laid down in article 16 of the Education and examination regulations (abbr. in Dutch: OER). Each Examination board have their own house rules with can be found in article 7 of the OER. The dates of the meeting of the Examination board and the send-in-by date of requests are stated in this article.

The decision of the examination board will be recorded in writing. Some schools will (in addition) send a letter or an email. A copy of the decision will be sent to the examination office,  the student counsellor and the study career counsellor.

If the student objects to the decision then he/she can make an appeal to Saxions Board of Appeal for examinations.*

Educational provisions

The head of the school decides on the request for Educational provisions. It is possible that the head appoints a worker within the school to handle and decide on requests. See article 16 of the OER.

If educational provisions are granted, this will be documented under “allocated educational provisions”. Some schools will send a letter or an email. A copy of the decision will be sent to the student counsellor and the study career counsellor.

If the student objects to the decision then he/she can get in touch with  the Reporting Centre Complaints and Disputes (MKG)*

Material provisions

The Director of the Service Centre/Office concerned will decide if the request for material provisions will be granted. It is possible that the director appoints a member of staff within his/her Service Centre/Office for making these decisions.

If material provisions are granted, this will be documented under “allocated material provisions”. Sometimes the decision will be make known by letter or an email. A copy of the decision will be sent to the student counsellor and the study career counsellor.

If the student objects to the decision then he/she can get in touch with  the Reporting Centre Complaints and Disputes (MKG)*
