Whereas an Academic Master focusses on exploring the advancement of new knowledge and technologies, in our master the focus lies on the implementation of these developments to create innovative products and applications.

Indeed, our program is based on a combination between theory and hands-on practice. In several practical’s and projects you gain hands-on experience on various synthesis, analytic and production techniques in our well-equipped laboratories. In the second year you will execute a project within a company, gaining hands-on experience on the application of micro- and nanotechnology in an industrial/commercial setting.

We do not offer a ‘fixed’ part-time program, but there are certainly possibilities to follow our master in part-time. Note that self-study is possible for several modules, some elements in the program will require your presence in our building (labs). Please contact the course director to discuss this matter.

Yes, we offer a minor Nanotechnology, which gives you an excellent basis in micro- and nanotechnology. This minor is offered every year at Saxion in Enschede. Please contact us if you desire more information.
