MySaxion Student App
Thanks to the new MySaxion Student App, you can now check your phone at any moment to see your current timetable and exam timetable. If a timetable changes, then you will receive a notification. Read on to see how to install the app and what you can expect of it.
This is the first step towards offering you a smartphone app that has all the information you could need during your studies. Download the app, available in the store now!

You can order your books through various platforms – and some might even be available second-hand. Just make sure you’re getting the correct version or edition. We recommend ordering your books for the first quarter as soon as possible. If you’d prefer to buy new books, you can get them via Studiewinkel.nl and receive a 5% discount.
Laptop
System requirements for your laptop - You will need a laptop with at least the following system requirements, a Chromebook or Macbook are not suitable. Windows 11 is recommended.
- A Intel i7 processor or AMD Equivalent (minimum quad cores and 3.3Ghz clock speed) - At least 16 GB RAM (32GB preferable) - A video card that's certified for SolidWorks, look at the solidworks website for the latest update. (Minimum of 4GB dedicated memory would be preferable) - Windows 10 is required for SolidWorks, Windows 11 is recommended. - A SSD hard drive (256GB or more) is highly recommended. You can find the SolidWorks specifications by clicking the link below.
Studiewinkel.nl
You can order your textbooks for your studies at Saxion at Studiewinkel.nl. Order your entire booklist or easily buy individual books with a 5% student discount.
The booklist can be found via the link above or by using the steps below on the website of Studiewinkel.nl (in Dutch).
- Select Saxion in the search bar
- Then select the location of your course
- Select your study programme
- View the booklist
Of course you are free to order your textbooks through other channels and suppliers. Some books are also available second hand. Please make sure you order the correct version/ edition.
INTRO is coming up and you don't want to miss it! 💚 This is your first week at Saxion and your introduction to your study programme, fellow students and student city. 25 & 26 August, you will go out with your study programme for an unforgettable start to your studies! Curious about your INTRO programme? 📅 You can find it in the INTRO-app.
The introduction to your programme will take place on Tuesday 25 and Wednesday 26 August in collaboration with study association Archimedes in Enschede. The purpose of the introduction is to get acquainted with your academy, study programme and fellow students.
Furthermore, you will receive information on all kinds of important matters concerning your studies and fun activities will be organised in which you will participate together with your fellow students.
The programme starts at 08:30 in the central hall. You can alsof find the programme of your study in the INTRO-app.
