PhD Project Insights into the invisible: real-time structural health monitoring of infrastructure worksusing remote sensing

Europe is dealing with an ageing infrastructure. To ensure reliability and safety of these structures their health status needs to be monitored. An intuitive solution to monitor these structures would be to equip them with a sensor network. Installation of such sensor networks require unwanted down-time of the structure and need to be maintained during their useful lifetime. To overcome these issues this research will investigate methods to assess the structural health real-time using remote sensing techniques.
